  2. Thanks to Dave for this quite correct explanation of what “cider” truly means. He is one of the true cider fans out there, and we appreciate all of the support.

Hi, Do you sell Apples For eating on line Thank you ,Mike

  4. Hi Mike — we do not sell online — and our harvest season will start again in the fall — but if you’d like to try back in late September we do have some folks who do ship our apples, notably Apple Hill Farm in Concord NH. Please keep it in mind for the future! Corrie

  5. Hey guys… I LOVE the new website. It’s really great. Good job!

  6. Thanks Scott! We are still working on building all of the content, so check back and see what we are up to. Best, Corrie

  7. We do not, sorry!

  8. Ken Scott says:

Corrie, how do we on the West Coast (Oregon) purchase your cider? Next, I have a small grass seed farm (leased to a seed farmer) but I grow my own garden and my wife and I would love to grow older apples…perhaps just 2-3 trees. Do you sell them, or is there someone in Oregon that does? Thanks for your help, saw you on OPB tonight and loved the show.
What about Ribton Pippin and Hudsons gem…or?

  9. Hi Ken, and thanks for your note. We do not currently sell outside of New England — but some of our retail partners, particularly in NY and NJ are approved shippers and will send cider to you. I am working on a list of online shippers for our website, but in the meantime you might try Astor Wines in NY or OakTree Wines in NJ.

In terms of apples, I will check with our experts as I’m not certain where you can get fruit trees. I know that Fedco in Maine does have a number of rare and antique apples. Good luck with it all, and let us know how you do! Best, Corrie

As for hardy and interesting apple trees, this place seemed to have quite a few. http://www.sln.potsdam.ny.us/ Someone left a stack of their catalogs at the Co-op and it looked interesting.

Hey, are you still doing pie cherries? If so, when is the right season? I didn’t see anything about it on this [beautiful] new web site.

  11. Hi Meg, and thanks for the compliment on the new site. It was done by our friends Jesse and Cally at Catalyst Webworks in White River….they do terrific work. Our pie cherries are looking quite scant so don’t count on any this year. Raspberries will be coming in a bit, though. Thanks for the tree info too! Best, Corrie

  12. Joan Ashcraft says:

Do y’all grow Yellow Transparents? I love them.

  13. We do not grow those to my knowledge, but check out our listing of Uncommon Apples and you may get some ideas! Best, Corrie

  14. Jennifer says:

So excited to learn about the orchard from The Botany of Desire! We will definately be making a visit soon!

  15. Thanks Jennifer. We have Pick Your Own raspberries now, and will be looking forward to the fall apple season. Best, Corrie

  16. Hi Deb, and thanks for your note. We plan to be open this Saturday, September 11, for pre-picked apples. We’re hoping that by the end of September we’ll have Pick Your Own, but are still waiting to see how the crop looks. Be sure to give a call, 448 1511, before you come up — we’ll be able to let you know what we’re picking and how things are moving along. Best, Corrie
