BERRIES ALL DONE!

Several hundred pounds of summer fruit did get out the gate this season. Thanks to all who joined the harvest! Have a great August and we’ll see you at apple time, right around Labor Day.

OLD INFO from SUMMER PICKING 2015

Ideally, the field is open seven days a week:
MORNINGS
7am to 11am & EVENINGS 4pm to 7pm.
But very often we have to change the hours
because of bad weather or over-picking/slow ripening.
SO YOU REALLY MUST CALL BEFORE TRAVELING UP HERE.
Also, kindly bring cash or check –
we’re not set up for credit cards in this field.

(The pie cherries are all done – they came in at the usual time, whereas the raspberries ripened later than normal. Blackcurrant picking is good so far.)

Raspberries and blackcurrants: too pretty to eat? Nope.

Raspberries & blackcurrants: too pretty to eat? Nope.

No kidding, use the phone! In real time! It’s the ONLY WAY to keep up
with changing conditions. (Our summer reminder card will
go out right AFTER we open, worth the usual dollar discount.)
(BRING YOUR FAVORITE CONTAINERS FOR TAKING BERRIES HOME.
WE LEND HANDY PICKING BUCKETS & WE DO HAVE PINT TAKE-HOME
CONTAINERS FOR A DIME EACH IF YOU FORGOT YOURS.)
