Dooryard #1517 (“Uncommon”)

A blend of barrels from the 2014 harvest, only 8 kegs in all:  1/3 Ribston Pippin and 1/3
Jonathan; the rest Wickson, Chisel Jersey, Esopus Spitzenberg, and Kingston
We smell/taste pineapple, green olive, rum, citrus peel, dried fruits,
bitters, mushroom, sorrel, florals, chocolate, and umami, with round acid
over soft bitter.  Quite full and moderately astringent.
Kegs at Wassail in NYC and on the Hill in Lebanon, NH.  Our growler
customers, the last Thirsty Thursday of 2015, took a lot home for their holidays.
