Dooryard 1316

Dooryard 1316: Off-Dry, lightly sparkling.  A sibling to Dooryard 1310, blended from the same two 2012 fermentations, strong to Esopus Spitzenberg, Dabinett, Ribston Pippin, Ellis Bitter, and Chisel Jersey.  1316 is slightly off-dry and fruit-forward, with apricot and lime in the forefront.  The broad, quinine-like bitterness supports the acidity and teeny sweetness well.  We liked 1310 Dooryard, so we made a close relative.
