Columbus Day, Carboys & Cider (Sweet!)

post-image

Greetings from the absolutely beautiful Poverty Lane Orchards!  The upper valley is poised to explode with events of all types — from Windsor’s Harvest Festival tonight to Dartmouth athletics all weekend and fantastic local events in White River Junction Sunday.

Leaf peeping is in full swing (check the foliage indicator if you’re really interested) and here at PovCo we’ve got some options for your weekend amusement.  We’ll have tractor rides all weekend, pre-picked apples, and the self-guided Orchard Walk for curious apple questers. The last school groups are touring right now, and sweet cider is ready in half-gallon jugs.  I challenge you to find better sweet cider anywhere – so get it now, exclusively at our farmstand.

And home cidermakers, take note!  We are ready for your clean, empty, lidded and labeled vessels. Our fermentation blend is $8.00 per gallon and we will let you know when you can fetch them.

On the cider front, we’ve got more busy days, with tastings in New Hampshire and Boston locations too.  Somerville’s Local First festival will have Farnum Hill Ciders, and I’ll be pouring at the Claremont Hannaford tomorrow afternoon.  Check out our events calendar for the full scoop, and drink more (Farnum Hill) cider!
